lyrics
Never was a school boy
Never was a shine your shoe boy
I was busy hanging with the dogs, rats, and fleas
'Cause all my friends are animals
Staying up late at night
Smoking cigarettes and drinking gasoline
And they're saying
Check out this new band
They're playing for ya
At the last home stand
What's left inside
Doing everything in sight
But the thing they misplaced
That one big break
Always in trouble
Always in the thick of it
Burning through songs and hits
I don't think he cares who's burning it
I don't know what I'm singing
But it should sound something like this
Let me tell ya
I think J's really digging it
You sang it better than I did
Let me tell ya something
Let me tell ya nothing
And they're saying
Check out this new band
They're playing for ya
At the last home stand
What's left inside
Out taking a ride
That thing they misplaced
That one big break
Show em the door
Show em out
Hey you need some place to stay tonight?
Looks like something's on his mind
I said see ya sometime down on Fillmore street
Take 'em in
Take 'em home
And they're saying
Check out this new band
They're playing for ya
At the last home stand
What's left inside
I don't need no advice
On that thing that I misplaced
That one big break
Angels up in heaven, there he goes, it's on Fillmore Street
And I'll see ya sometime after the show
awesome stuff. enjoyable. I cab remember hearing most of these guys in their other respective bands on the KQ homegrown show (a show sorely missed in the twin cities, sorry current), and seeing a lot of those same bands at the turf. anyway nicely done. not a bad track on the album. jphillipm
